Gamesradar.com has just announced a bit of a "contest" that will decide whether or not Clayton Carmine lives.

Who's Clayton Carmine? He's the third of the Carmine brothers, with Anthony of the first game and Benjamin of the second game appearing before him.

There's supposedly an artifact that mentions Clay in Gears 2, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

If you've played the Gears of War series, you'll know that so far there has been a Carmine in each game. And, in both of these games, they die. Anthony is killed by a sniper, while Benjamin is killed by antibody-like creatures while in the Riftworm.

We are now presented with Clayton Carmine, and we can decide whether he dies like his brothers, or lives on.

How? The article states "Starting on July 29, you can vote to decide the fate of Carmine by purchasing avatar shirts Xbox LIVE."

If you go to the article you will see that there's either a "Save Carmine" shirt or a "Carmine Must Die" shirt.

Whichever shirt sells more will decide Carmine's fate!

If you need another reason to fork over money for something like this, the article states that the proceeds will go towards the Child's Play charity.

On top of the XBOX Live Avatar shirts, there will be real shirts at San Diego Comic Con. So if you're at SDCC, you can buy one of those instead!

Now then. That's what that is. Time for MY opinion.

Anthony Carmine is one of my favorite characters of Gears. When I saw Ben, I thought it was great that they brought Carmine back, in the form of his brothers. Sadly, Ben was killed, too.

Now I look at Clay. And I think he is incredibly awesome. He's ripped, has "Grub Killer" written on his armor, and just gives the vibe of "I'm not playing around."

I personally am going to buy a "Save Carmine" shirt. Does this mean you have to? No. Buy whichever you want.

I'd like to know about your guys' opinion on all of this. Like Clay? Dont want to buy anything? Want to buy both? Let me know.

Either way, I cant wait to see this guy in action.
